LWRA President’s Message – Week of 1/01/24

Happy New Year

As we embark on the new year let me take a moment to let you know our HAM schedule for the next few days.

As a reminder that MASTER FOX himself John W4JFS will be the net control operator tonight.  We will on the 442.425 machine 5+ with a CTCSS of 127.3 on both tx and rx.  John will also hold a ‘round table’ or informal net immediately following the regular net.

If you missed the QRP, with our FOXHUNT as the feature, you really missed a good time. We had 21 folks go fox hunting in the cool areas around Lakes Wailes and Crystal. They were well hidden and made for a good challenge to the hunters. A lot was learned by all to make the next hunt even better.

This is our regular business meting for the club as well as our required “State of the Club” report. I know you will be excited to hear what we have planned for the year as well as a VERY IMPRESSIVE report for 2023.  I hope to see all there on the 11th for that meeting; more to come regarding that in the days to come.

I hope you all had a great Holiday season and are now getting into the new year.  Stay safe and as always it is my pleasure to serve along side of great members like you!
