The LWRA (Lake Wales Repeater Association) is a group of folks from all walks of life with one common interest, Amateur Radio. Our membership consists of year round local residents as well as “Snow Birds” and our activities include local chatter on our repeater. DX (Long Distance) chasing and contesting, A.R.E.S. activities, family picnics, voice and data communications, and on and on. We encourage anyone with an interest in two-way communications, electronics, computers, or just a desire to learn something new to please contact us or drop in on one of our meetings or picnics
Our Monthly meetings are open to both Ham’s and the general public. Please feel free to stop by and visit. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 7pm, at the Lake Wales YMCA, directions.

The LWRA has VE test sessions scheduled on the 1st Saturday of every month at the Winter Haven chapter of the American Red Cross.
