LWRA President’s Message – Week of 11/13/23

Greeting fellow LWRA members.

Thank you all for nominating  officers for the 2024 year.  The elections will be at the beginning of the meeting in December.

This week in HAM radio;

We have our ‘work day QRP event” instead of the QRP this month we are meeting a week early due in part to the holidays, and we really need to spruce up the Dundee site.  This Saturday the 18th  9-12.

I will send out more on Thursday or Friday but we will be doing several projects and could you help or cheerleaders to accomplish.

Some of the targeted items, relevel the repeater shack.  Remove the accumulated old radio items that are no longer in use. Need a part you might find you one.  Possibly replace the wall AC unit (we have a new one donated)  remount the two repeaters, duplexer and the amplifier into one of the radio racks that we received from the county.  Paint the door security bar, seal the access points form the cables and grounds. Replace the interior work light.  As you can see plenty to do.

We will meet at 8 ( or earlier) at the Dundee Diner in the Winn Dixie Plaza on US 27 for breakfast. Then at 9 start meeting at the site.

The Green water tower one block south of ALT 27 aka Scenic Highway aka Central Ave in Dundee is the site. 442.425Mhz 127.3 is the talk in.

Join John W4JFS for the weekly net tomorrow evening at 730PM on the UHF 442.425 machine 127.3 CTCSS TX and RX. He will announce the round table topic.  If you ‘would if you could’ check in but are out of the area please check in on SIGNAL Chat for LWRA and we will get you in the log.

See ya on the air
