Good Monday!
Last week of April, where does time fly too?
LWRA has had a great week in radio, with the “flavor of the week’ campaign (a mode or repeater is our focus each week to get folks using the abundance of repeaters we have available. The info typically comes out on LWRA Signal Chat. If you are a club member and are not using Signal and want more information, send me an email and I can direct you to the folks who can hook you up. Also, our QRP was another huge success. We had over 20 folks attending, a large number set up stations including a Satellite receiving station. The demo was great as well as the camaraderie, the food and the excitement to see someone make their first contact on HF. Way to go Charlie! Thanks go out to the QRP Team!
Next month’s QRP information will be coming out very soon. If we can this will be a special QRP with details to be released within the next few days.
We have the May meeting upcoming. On the second Thursday at LWFD this month we have our classroom meeting learning about 2m and 440 antennas. More information to come!
We still need NET CONTROL for the second week of the month. PLEASE contact me for information.
As summer approaches we need vacation relief net control operators for our net if you want to try a net for vacation let me know. (I need the same for GMRS net as well) jml610-@comcast.net
I have some news, Rick NI4S has decided to, after MANY years of service as a net controller for LWRA, decided to retire. I’m looking for a Net control operator for the second or third Tuesday. If interested, please send me an email and I’ll get you started. It is a lot of fun and a great learning experience. jml610@comcast.net
Thank You Rick for you years of commitment.
