LWRA Ham Bytes – Week of 7/07/25

Great Monday!

I hope everyone had a great holiday. As we get ready for the July meeting (a quarterly business meeting) we will have a program on what’s available in Ham in our area. If you’re new or a seasoned ham, you may not be aware of what resources we have here for amateur radio. So come join us or join us on the Google meets (link will be posted on meeting night as a reminder).

QRP will be this month at Simmers Young Park on the last Saturday 9-12 with the Tailgate Tech P2P (point to point) see attachments.

Big Dogs on the Porch will be there fixing’ a dog or two; so, bring a COOL drink and learn, play or just shoot the bull! Hope to see ya there

My trip to NC last week I would like to thank the Blue Ridge Amateur Radio Club, their President KK4JFO Jim Reed for his gracious hosting. A great club with some brand-new HAMS. When traveling checkout, the local nets and club meetings, in most cases they are friendly folks who speak our language.

We have a new GMRS repeater in the area W5DBH has placed a repeater (we will be upgrading it) on the Big Hotel in Haines City 462.6 +5MHz with 82.5 CTCSS TX and RX (wide band setting).
