Good Monday! Can you believe it’s June? Here we are on the brink of hurricane season again. Now is the time to get your HCL (Hurricane Check List) done, gas for generator, test generator, gas/charcoal for grill, water for several days, and so on. We learned a few new things at the Hurricane expo this weekend. For example, did you ever think of filling your washing machine with water and stopping the wash cycle for extra water for toilets… I have heard of bath tub but the 16 or so gallons are pretty nifty.
We had a great time at the EXPO; both the ARES booth and the LWRA booth(s) were very busy! We had very constant traffic. Several folks are interested in HAM and emergency communications. Hopefully, we made an impact. I want to thank everyone who came out to assist, I think everyone who was in both the ARES and LWRA booths were 100% LWRA as well as most of the CERT booth. One of the speakers was a member. A great representation of how far-reaching our folks are in the community.
Flavor of the week DSTAR on the Bartow repeater and TOPPING is the 147.375 machine in south Lakeland 127.3 is the CTCSS.
QRP this month is still being discussed but will have significant emphasis on the ’26 Field Day operations at Sun N Fun campus Davis Education Building. More to come…

I am looking for 3-4th week GMRS net this month I will be at USA Games in Minneapolis for Special Olympics,
