I would like to thank all who attended the meeting last week. We had a GREAT program with Dan WZ1P and his DX expeditions. I think from the questions and the responses that everyone enjoyed, learned and were entertained. Thanks Dan for being our program.
Breakfast and “Lend A Ham”
This Saturday June the 17th, we will meet for breakfast at Lake Wales Family Restaurant at 7AM. This restaurant is located about 1 block west of 1st street and Hwy 60 on the south side of the road or ½ block east of Mid Florida Credit Union, again on the south side of the road at 109 State Road 60 West LK Wales 33853
Following the breakfast at 9 am, we will meet at Jack’s station at 5063 Lake Pierce Drive Lake Wales FL 33853. If you need directions, please call me and I can direct you in.
Needed for the Project: A good 20 foot + extension ladder. If you have or are bringing one let me know, otherwise I will be hunting one down.
Field Day:
So far we have ONE, 1 , UN, SINGLE, UNO, any other way you can say ONE, signed up. Some have signed up on the LARC log that are members of both clubs. WE NEED OPERATORS! If you want to operate at a specific time on SSB, FT* or CW starting at noon Saturday PLEASE Let me know ASAP. We need the count for food. Also, We need set up and take down volunteers. Set up starts FRIDAY JUNE 23rd at 3PM at Kathleen Historical Society 8950 Campbell Road, Lakeland Florida 33810. Set up will continue at 6:00AM Saturday 24th morning and Break Down begins at 1200 noon Sunday the 25th. They start breakdown to try beating afternoon thunderstorms.
If you have NOT signed up and plan on attending the Field Day please let me know , even if you are not operating, for a general idea about provisions.
Tuesday Net:
The LWRA Net Control for Tuesday evening will be NI4S. Come join Rick on the net keep our check-ins going thru the summer. He will follow with a round table informal on the repeater of his choice that he will announce during the net. If you cannot reach the repeater, let us know via SIGNAL App on the club CHAT and we can check you in.
