Morning folks,
What a great week! Good nets thanks to the subs as well as the LWRA meeting, we had 29 folks overall, and we think we missed a couple. 19 joined on the link from all over to hear Kyle direct us to infinity and beyond. Sorry, I’m a Buzz Light Year Fan, anyway, what was important and interesting, several LWRA champion and Elmers were as intent and inquisitive as they learned about satellites. The club welcomed two brand new Hams with the usual willingness to help them on their journey into this great hobby.
I know several folks will be traveling in the next few weeks, so please keep the nets, the Winlink and the Flavor of the Day with Topping campaign going. Today’s ‘Flavor’ is Dstar on the Bartow repeater, and the topping is the analog 147.375MHz (+.6 with 127.3) repeater in Bartow. We are trying to keep all the resources we have in use.
ARRL members we have on of our own gaining a promotion. We have Jimmy Russ AB4KA as our new ARRL WCF Section Manager. Jimmy, LWRA member, is the second of the five ever WCF Section Manager to be from Imperial Polk County as well as the LWRA! Congratulations!
As far as net controllers we still need a second Tuesday net control for LWRA or if you want to try to see if you like it, you can fill in.
QRP will not be this month we encourage you to participate in Filed Day either from your location, LARC or other area clubs have events as well.
Don’t forget the nets: We need ya!
Check out W4JFS’ ‘flavor of the day’ (what repeater we are highlighting that day) on Signal Chat.
Don’t forget WINLINK Monday: We need you here too!
