Good morning. After 1 ½ days with out internet service here is a QRP reminder for Saturday.
I am excited about the QRP this Saturday at Lake Shipp Park. We have the first for ’25 with 10 meter as a theme.
Https://lwra.us/qrp for the flyer.
Several new HAMs have expressed interest in attending, making the QRP even more exciting.
I did see the CHEF and the Front of House persons for ‘Big Dogs on the Porch’ talked to the Barista on the radio and all indicated that we are ready to go.
It will be with a little nip in the air so dress accordingly.
Talk in will be the WC4PEM radio systems, so come out and have some fun!
This Saturday is Winter Field Day, befitting the name for the first time in a while ( for Floridians) this event is not hosted or sponsored by the club, however, one of the local members is having a gathering to participate in the radio event.
This will be in Lake Aston in Lake Wales , hosted by Tom KA8JIL. A pavilion has been secured and at least one station ready for the event. If you are interested in joining him, contact information is – 614-314-4360 he is also on the LWRA Club Swap Signal page.
KA8JIL@gmail.com for email contacts.
It has been an unusual week, so opportunities abound for HAM relaxation so please take advantage.
