Oh boy what a busy time of the year! Some are graduating, some are retiring, some are going to exciting get aways, others are stay-vacationing and others are going back north, and more and more. Our radio stations tend to start getting less and less traffic for these reasons (and others, do NOT be afraid to use these repeaters!). So, we have to pick up the pace and get things going. We are working toward the end of the month QRP; several folks are going to be starting trips, so we will announce very very soon. Anyway, I hope your week goes well and hope to hear from you on the air. We had a decent turnout for the last weeks Flavor and Topping.
We will enjoy the net this week John W4JFS . We will need all the help we can get on the LWRA UHF machine 442.425Mhz +5MHz offset with 127.3 on both tx and rx. This is a dual mode repeater for AMS Fusion. The net is conducted in the analog mode starting at 730PM followed by the ‘round table’ for the LWRA repeater.
The Question will be always interesting and thought provoking.
QRP-Plans in process and will be announced very soon.
The Flavor this week DSTAR on the Bartow repeater. This is a gateway repeater so you can access from hot spot or other DSTAR gateway repeaters across the county. You can also use DROID Star on your phone if you have that app. The topping is the Highland City World Famous ‘375’ repeater. This is a dual mode repeater P25/Analog and uses analog 127.3 on TX and RX. And 293 NAC for P25. Great range on this, so give it a shot, you just might wake ‘ole Jimmy up for a QSO.
We still net a few net controllers for our GMRS associated nets. Third or fourth week on Bartow and W5DBH’s repeater in Haines City.
Dan’s W5DBH Haines City Net on Fridays 462.55 127.3 he needs subs and controllers for his 7 PM Friday net.
I need a third- or fourth-week controller for the Polk GMRS net for Tuesday at 7PM each week. 462.725 141.3. Also, standby subs for all three nets would be great. Let me know about any 863-412-2467.
Thanks, Russ, for the celestial updates. Great net reminders on SIGNAL each day… a wonderful tool!
