Good morning, I hope your Easter was a great time for you! As we move into the odd week, we are in the second Thursday and the first Tuesday week of the month, that’s just weird for me. As you know, this is our business meeting month on the second Thursday.* We will have a short meeting and move right into the program. Russ N4RTD will present another great program regarding maintaining your connection with the FCC and keeping your email, password, and information updated. Your renewals and other reasons for FCC communication rely on this information being current. We will, as always, be on Google Meets if you cannot make the meeting. As far as the First Monday we will have the pleasure of John W4JFS as our first week Net controller.
We will need all the help we can get on the LWRA UHF machine 442.425Mhz +5MHz offset with 127.3 on both tx and rx. This is a dual mode repeater, analog and AMS Fusion. The net is conducted in the analog mode starting at 730PM followed by the ‘round table’ the LWRA repeater.
The question will be a surprise but titillating topic for sure.
The ‘flavor’ will be DMR particularly on the PCSB TG 3195162, this is accessible via the W4VCO repeaters here in Polk or via hot spot and/or Droid Star. And the topping will be our friends at Lakeland Amateur Club repeater in east Lakeland. 146.685MHz with 127.3 on TX and RX. This repeater is also accessible via ECHO Link so opportunities are available to as they said in ET “phone home”.
As spring springs let’s hop on those repeaters and that HF rig and MAKE SOME CONTACTS!
QRP- End of the month we will have our April QRP at Mary Holland Park I Bartow with a theme to be announced in the up-coming days. We will have an announcement on the lunch next week as well.
We still net a few net controllers for our GMRS associated nets. Third or fourth week on Bartow and W5DBH’s repeater in Haines City.
Dan’s W5DBH Haines City Net on Fridays 462.55 127.3 he needs subs and controllers for his 7 PM Friday net.
Meeting at Lake Wales Fire Station #1 253 West Central Ave Lake Wales at 7:00PM look for the link later this week.
I need a third- or fourth-week controller for the Polk GMRS net for Tuesday at 7PM each week. 462.725 141.3. Also, standby subs for all three nets would be great. Let me know about any 863-412-2467
Thanks, Russ, for the celestial updates. Great net reminders on SIGNAL each day… a wonderful tool!
