Great day in the LWRA
Here we are! The week of the QRP known as Ham ‘n Beans! This Saturday we will hopefully all come together to enjoy our hobby… with our families seeing what we do. Then we enjoy a meal sort of like a potluck. This year is slightly different. We will add the ‘Big Dogs on the Porch Café’ with their famous delights, as well as some bean dishes, desserts and fixins. I have been toying with my hot dog sauce; however, it has been made VERY clear to bring my chili instead. I’m going to cook overnight on Friday. The location is different as well. We will be at Lake Hartridge Park under the big cover for lunch. The stations can be set up wherever they like in the park. We have ice, chili, dogs and brats, bean salad, and a few desserts. Set up including plates, bowls and plastic ware are also coming. Bring your own drinks or a soda or tea to share. The weather looks good so far and we are excited to get together. There is still time to let me know if your bringing a dish or side item for the chili, dogs or just to eat.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE CLUB, PLEASE COME OUT AND JOIN US. JUST BRING YOURSELF NO OTHER ITEMS NEEDED! WE DO THIS ONCE A YEAR AND WILL HAVE PLENTY. IT WILL BE A TIME TO PLAY RADIO ON VARIOUS MODES AND BANDS, EAT AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING WE DO IS FELLOWSHIP! 9-1300 AT LAKE HARTRIDGE PARK WINTER HAVEN. https://lwra.us/qrp look for the flyer.
I’ll replay the QRP commercial.
Get ready for our OCTOBER QRP our infamous “HAM’n BEANS” event. Again, I need you help. If you plan on bringing a desert, beans dish, drinks or support stuff like plates, bowls, cups, ice, forks knives and spoon send me what you are bringing to kn4itq@comcast.net Thanks for your support. I will start confirming for those who have already reasoned with this request. (Several from last week I got ya!) WE NEED SIDE DISHES OR DESERTS MORE THAN ANYTHING NOW!
REVISED HAMN BEAN’S LOCATION. OCTOBER 26TH WE WILL BE AT LAKE HARTRIDGE PARK IN WINTER HAVEN. THIS IS A CHANGE IN VENUE.
I have the list and will email you back if you duplicate your items with anyone else.
I did go to the site today and no significant damage noticed.
NET INFORMATION this will soon be on the webpage for easy pull-down access. Thanks to KT4WX
